Embracing New Chapters: When Life Takes Unexpected Turns

Life has a way of turning pages when we least expect it.

Here I am again, standing at the threshold between what was and what could be. It's in these moments of transition that I find myself craving an escape—a chance to get lost in my thoughts, or perhaps to flee from them entirely. Travel—that's where I escape to think, to empty my brain. Sedona, often a place I go to find myself.

A New Chapter Begins

This chapter unexpectedly closed, and a new one is beginning. A wonderful two-year relationship has ended, leaving me wondering what comes next. Simultaneously, I'm launching a new business, navigating through uncertainty while feeling the steady presence of support around me. And so I continue forward, carrying a suitcase full of "what ifs."

The Emotional Spectrum

When I step outside myself and observe, I realize I'm experiencing a complete emotional spectrum—happiness, sadness, joy, anxiety—all intermingling in a complex dance. It's so easy to get caught in the undertow of negative feelings. Sometimes being brave while standing alone feels impossible. Yet, I'm determined to move forward, knowing that if this path doesn't work out, another one awaits.

Right on Schedule

Did you know that the average age when women launch new careers is in their fifties? I guess I'm right on schedule. Not that there's a prescribed timeline we need to follow. I've wandered down countless paths throughout my life, savoring each journey as it unfolded. The excitement, challenges, and goals of new ventures have always propelled me forward.

A Fear I’ve Never Known

During quiet moments of reflection, I've realized something about myself: I try new things simply because they seem fun. I've never been concerned about the fear of failure—until now. This current endeavor isn't entirely new; it's something I tried, fell deeply in love with, and then had taken away from me. If this doesn't succeed, I lose the opportunity to continue with something that brings me profound joy.

Why I Push Forward

For the first time, the thought of failing means this all ends. And that's precisely why I'm here, pushing so hard. I desperately want to succeed. I can visualize not just how these trips look, but more importantly, how they feel. Those emotions that nourish me during women's trips, that drive me to travel more, explore new places, and share these experiences—they're all reasons why I'm here today.

Fuel for the Soul

I love guiding women on trails, hearing their stories, encouraging them to embrace something slightly intimidating, and witnessing their sucesses. These moments fuel my purpose.

I’m Glad You’re Here

I don't know which chapter you're currently living, where your next one begins, or the catalysts behind your changes... but I'm grateful you're here, reading this vulnerable post. I hope you'll share your thoughts—your struggles, contemplations, or fears. Perhaps we can help each other navigate life's complexities together. It’s possible that you’re having the time of your life, and are mid-chapter. I know you bring wisdom and experience to the to adventure.

Keep Living Fully

Friend, I hope you continue living authentically, taking brave steps, trying new things, spreading your wings, and helping others do the same. I hope you capture countless photos, pet dogs, embrace friends, and offer smiles to strangers. I hope you experience life completely. Life is entirely too brief to hold yourself back. If you’re scared of fitting in, that’s perfectly normal, take a brave step and go for it.

She Wanted to Do This Thing… And Then She Did

As we age, we inevitably lose people we love, a reality that intensifies with each passing decade. When my time comes, I hope those I leave behind know I lived life fully! There's still so much waiting to be experienced, and I'm eagerly anticipating what awaits around each corner, the next one, and all those that follow.
